"Currently, the world is facing a global teacher shortage with a projected deficit of 44 million primary and secondary education teachers by 2030 according to UNESCO.
There have been two main strategies in addressing this issue. The first is to foster a more independent learning system through utilizing digital platforms and shifting teaching approach to student-centered learning. The second strategy aims to bring more people into the teaching profession. The efforts for this strategy vary, some states opt into relaxing the basic requirements to teaching, while others aim to improve the overall quality in the teaching profession through advocating for higher compensation and improving protective regulations for teachers."
